|
Saint Luke's Serbian Orthodox Mission and the Serbian Orthodox Choral Association have collaborated in the production of a new handbook for the major feasts of our Lord and Saviour, and the Theotokos..
The handbook contains the feastday liturgies for:
The Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos The
Exaltation of the Life-Giving Cross The
Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos The
Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos The
Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ The Circumcision of Our Lord Jesus Christ and The Feast of St. Basil the Great The Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ The
Meeting of Our Lord Jesus Christ The
Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos (as sung on Saturdays and
Sundays) Palm
Sunday Pascha The
Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ Pentecost The
Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ The Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos Music for
all troparia, kontakia, prokeimena and irmoi is in a setting which is
easy to follow. This
fully bilingual book, in Serbian (Cyrillic) and English on facing pages,
provides the parishioner a valuable aid to follow the Liturgy throughout
the year in either the Serbian or the English language. It is the
perfect companion to the Liturgical Handbook previously published, with
similar size and set-up of pages (but can be used in conjunction with
any other Liturgical book as well). The
Festal Liturgical Handbook is an invaluable resource for the cantor,
choir, or parishioner. It has been assembled with the same thoroughness
and care to detail as the Liturgical Handbook. |
